Les (Lester Raymond) Brown (b. March 14, 1912, Reinerton, PA - d. January 4, 2001, Los Angeles, CA) was a 1936 graduate of Duke University. There he led his first dance band, the Duke Blue Devils, for which he also played clarinet and saxophone. The band would go on to professional fame in the 1940s under the name Les Brown and His Band of Renown. Richard Giles Stilwell (b. Feb. 24, 1917-d. Dec. 25, 1991) was commander of cadets at the U.S. Military Academy from 1961 to 1963 and later commander fo the 1st Armored Division, XXIV Corps, in Vietman in 1968. He commanded the 6th Army at the Presidio in 1972 and 1973, then the 8th Army from 1973 to 1976, followed by his command of the United National Command in Korea.
